Exibition at Nucleus Gallery

I'm exhibiting A handful of oil paintings and watercolors at the Nucleus Gallery in Alhambra California.
The show starts this Saturday night at 7:00 pm.

Here's an old one that will be in the show that I meant to just touch up a bit but ended up painting over almost the entire thing. It was originally from "KULL, EXILE OF ATLANTIS" that I illustrated a few years back. It was a depiction of a slave girl that Kull stumbles upon in the woods.

  1. Nice painting! Great atmosphere and colors. Almost looks like there is a shadowy figure amongst the tress above her head. Creepy! :-)
Hope the exhibition will be a fun event.

  2. Good luck with the show! This painting is beautiful. My favorite part is actually those individual leaves behind her - how you've shown the tilting and turning of each one as a plane in space with just subtle color and value shifts. Awesome!

  3. Can't wait to see the show! Best of luck :)

  4. Beautiful painting there Justin! Love the colors, best of luck with the show!
